Introduction:
As a music fan & someone who appreciates graphic arts, I usually tend to "judge a book by its cover." Though music is still the most important thing, the album cover plays a key role in my personal music-buying experience. I'd check out the artwork (including band logos) to get a "feel" of how they might sound even without listening to it...& that's the case with most of the unknown/independent/underground music that I collect. I appreciate everything from the simplest halftone prints to the bright & colorful designs to the most complicated digital graphics & packaging. A few months back, I got a copy of British magazine, Q's special limited collector's edition issue on the "100 Best Record Covers Of All Time" & resulted to the idea for this site. I started a poll in various Pinoy Rock-related mailing lists (incl. message boards) & got enough response for this compilation. A few were added for completion. This site is set-up as if you were flipping through the pages of a magazine & there are 100 albums featured here in random order *...so please be patient...heheheh! Most of the artworks are off CD sleeves & cassette J-cards scans...a few would've been better off presented using their original vinyl sleeves but unfortunately my scanner ain't big enough. The
artwork credits are as follows:

I've said enough...Enjoy 20 years of Pinoy Alternative visuals!!!
